Sounds pretty mean! Less the vocals... But good work none the less. Keep up the progression!

Hello, another member here. I think we're planning to record around the concluding months of this year and have some form of demo floating around the internet without a doubt. If you like what we've done so far the new stuff will blow that all away (especially the vocals). Plus if you want to gig with us then email andrew-collett@hotmail.com or give us a shout over facebook for booking. Thanks for your time and kind words guys!

Oh yeah, about this band. We underwent some huge changes over the summer. First of all the name was changed to 'The Shattered Sun' since we decided to stop any confusion that we hated apples. The line-up changed with the loss of our bassist who moved to Palmy for university. Our vocalist left due to numerous reasons, however the agreement was mutual. In February we gained our current vocalist Richard Matthews (ex Everwinter, Draco Aerius) and performed 2 show in March, with a fill in bassist. As of now we are writing a new set list and hope to start playing on a very consistent basis. Our facebook page is here. The song although recently recorded is already of far better quality when performed by us.

Cheers guys. Enjoy!

Listened to the Myspace... Not really much of an improvement.

The vocals are too high in the mix for vocals that bad. Obviously he has no control over technique or power and it comes across very clearly in the recording. They're actually annoying to listen to, does this vocalist play any instruments or did you get him/her purely for vocal talents? Judging from technique they'll lose their voice really soon so that's a positive.

What the hell is post thrash?

Also the music is boring and generic as hell. This is an honest opinion. The only positive thing I have to say is that you presumably own your own instruments so you've got the basics down.

Like I said, the recording is a bit old. We've already improved it and are currently writing more songs.

If you're not happy with your recording you should put up one you are happy with. I think it's pretty stupid to put up demo material and then as soon as someone critiques it say "well we're actually way heaps better because of reasons A, B and C". I'd say you should put up something that you're 100% happy with and let that speak for the band. It's much more effective than having to tell us how good you really are and that the demos done don't do you any justice and so on and so forth. Just an idea.
