IronStein (folk metal/alternative rock)

Hey guys.

Been visiting these boards for a year or so, thought it was time to register. Then I thought maybe I would advertise my band. I’m from IronStein, a five piece band from Hamilton. Our style of music falls somewhere in between alternative rock and Celtic folk metal. We’re probably not really as heavy as what you guys are used to hearing. We only formed in August this year, and have only played two gigs thus far (with a third coming up in January), so we are still quite new (although three of us played in a similar band back in 2009).

Here is some links to our main band pages (Reverbnation/Facebook). There are a couple of cheap-ass studio recordings you can listen to - I’ve checked out some of the other bands on here, and our recordings are not quite up to the standards of most of the stuff on here, but they sound semi-professional, they don't sound like they've been done in a garage or anything that bad hahaha! There are also some Youtube videos of our live stuff when you scroll down the page a bit.

Let me know what you think, what you like about us. If you think we suck, say so, that's O.K, but then also let us know what we can improve on. Cheers!

Good stuff, interesting. The recording quality sounds decent enough to me. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but I'd be keen to hear more songs. Be sure to post about your gigs on the forum!
