The rioters are stupid. Their actions will have only made their own situation worse. It's easy to blame the government for passing the money to the rich instead of spending it on education, but the people voted for them in the first place. I guess most people don't care too much about human equality...

It is a possibility the Government/Police have let the riots deliberately grow out of control -
to bring in new measures the general public would not normally accept.

I think this will make the situation worse for everyone.
