Post yourself

Postby Obzen » Sun Aug 28, 2011 5:27 pm

Post a video or audio file of the latest thing you've learnt or written. Covers or original songs. By yourself, to a backing track, in a band, or even on guitar pro etc. anything you're keen to show and get feedback on, but not dedicate an entire thread to. Nothing too lo-fi.

I reckon it sounds alright considering. A few people make a living out of that kind of stuff, video game music and whatnot. Some geeks would like the sound that you just can't get from a real band. I think I'd have to hear it done by an actual band to decide if I like it though.

Youtube is a good way to post audio stuff, even with no image,. means you can imbed, and ppl only gotsta click once to listen and not leave the page, choice. the melodies feel nice.

MOAR!

I will post up a drum cover of something once I get some drum mics, probably in about 5 or 6 years time.

Rain is a cool track. (as where the rest of the tracks on your soundcloud page)

Is it a solo project or band?

Trendkill wrote:Lol, no picture on that video?

Yeah, had the lights down low for ambience = Fail.

I'll do another loop recording with better lighting.

Nah its a group project, Obzen is the drummer! I should put up a couple of the tracks with real drums as all other tracks are old with programmed drums. Also yeah Rain is the least impressive but the OP said latest!

Maybe wait till it's edited, mixed and maybe sound replaced? Unless we want some feedback on how to get a better drum sound (which I'm keen to get), but that could be a whole nother thread.

yeah sound cloud is awesome I get to look @ your audio and judge it based on spikes and peaks and its normalised db =d WOOOO. and last.fm, no seriously its cool.. great tune.RAIN... the vocals sound like um "arch enemy" dont know if thats a good of a bad thing. i see this threads going to become another "SPLASH" of whatever. I thought it was solo. post yourself. not "me and my band" cause then we just go back to one of those other threads. oh well. its a post on the forums and its something to listen to and read. =D thanks

Doesn't have to be solo, can be a band project or whatever, but preferably not too much from any individual project... or it may aswel have it's own thread. I want see vids and covers of songs.

Oh yeah, and preferably a single track imbedded into the page, rather than "go to this link and check out all my songs"
