Enjoyed last night in Akld. I've only been listening to Kyuss for a couple of years and don't know their songs that well, but it was thoroughly awesome for the most part. Shame they're not really playing anything off Sons of Kyuss/Wretch on this tour, because those rule. Was mainly looking forward to hearing Whitewater, which was wicked. The new guitarist is decent... you guys know they're probably gonna record a new album? The support act Doug Jerebine & Billy TK channeled the psychedelic 60s and got a good response from the crowd.

Wellington show was amazing... what a terrific venue, was super intimate, really didnt expect to see one of my favorite bands in such a small and ambient venue. Interestingly, the support band Beastwars played (awesomely) on the floor (rather than the stage) with audience moshing in front of them, which made for a really cool and interesting vibe.

KYUSS just absolutely rocked. BIG sound. The acoustics and mix were perfect, performance full of energy and feeling. It was really everything I want in a gig. Met some great people. REALLY wanted to hear Space Cadet though, but the dissapointment of not hearing was outweighed be the general awesomeness of the show.

We were so lucky to have to share the venue with only 3 or 4 hundred other people considering their two Powerstation shows sold out.

Definitely in my top 5 concerts ever.
