I need to jam with some new faces. Any untouched metal/hardcore musicians out there?

What do you play? what bands are you into? Are you any good?
I'm a drummer, always keen for a jam with good musos who are willing to trek out to Upper Hutt.

I have a soft spot for grindcore.

But i love these Bands---->Architects,The red chord, cephalic carnage, bring me the horizon, between the buried and me, isis, explosions in the sky, akaname, protest the hero, meshuggah.

i know there is a bit of a mix...

I've been playing for 10 years. started playing metal about 6 years ago coming from hardcore punk.
I really want to make something out of my guitar skill. even if it is just a few written songs and a gig or two.
doesnt bother me as long as something happens.

Is your taste in Hardcore better than your taste in Metalcore?

Nah ive never really had a favourite aye. All of it is good.

They both have points that i really like. But i suppose if i had to chose... it would be metalcore.

I really dont mind between the two as long as there is a jam.

I need some new views on how to do things.
I need good solid muso's to do this. And its hard to find good ones who arent taken.

To be honest I get really tired of people half assing things.
You know the ones who say they are keen but turn up to jams with the motivation of a lammington?
I've been around a few of them in my time as a musician and i want out.

I suppose thats my downfall too. I have no tollerance for time wasting people like that.

I have one gear "go" lolz

Im in central wellies man, looking for some people to jam with also. Im more of a preogressive metal person but im open to any sort of metal ay. If it were up to me I would have all types of metal in one album by one band, ME! If your keen on a jam hit me up with a pm.
